On Page SEO, spend your money wisely
Today’s article from me is going to be rather a simple one. I was combing the internet looking for the website that housed this particular DDC product (never found it!) when I came across a blogger who also saw that a lot of the products offered at DealDotCom are easily replicated for free.
The product in question is the SEO on page factoring guide, offered a few days ago by DDC. And the blogger who wrote about it? Paul Barlow - a fellow brit!
Down to business then. The whole point of this SEO e-book (which would have set you back $25 if you’d had got in on the deal) is to explain to you what “on page” factors can impact your search engine rankings, and how to use them to your advantage. Paul pretty much nails the head in his article, when stating:
The question is would you pay for this information? If the answers is yes then you’re not using the internet to it’s full potential.
Wow, that’s how we feel! But that’s not all, since he then goes on to do the rest of my job for me by giving his readers a couple of other ways to get this information for free:
1.) A good free tool to use in analysing your page SEO potential is WebCEO. It should tell you everything you need to know, and save you from spending $25.
2.) Another good suggestion, read up on a few free articles that explain SEO factors to you. Paul advocates an article from SEOmoz, and I’m going to second that. It’s a good read, and it’s free. Quite frankly, a quick google search will bring you a wealth of information on the subject.
So there you have it, a free alternative to what looks to be a pretty standard e-book. Remember that 99% of the time, there is no new information out there that can justify paying for an e-book, since most of it can be found out there on the web - with just a little research.
PS. we’re just adding the new content contribution feature to this site, so that if you’re like Paul, and can spot those free alternatives, you can let everyone know right here. Even if its just a link to an article you’ve written, we’ll gladly reference it to make sure people stay up to date
